Welcome to the premiere challenge!
Since this is a reboot/spin-off of capicontest, I'll copy exactly what the first challenge was there.
Free for all!
Simply use the supplied screen caps from the dates listed below.

We'll start from where Capicontest left off, at the post from Monday, July 2022 the 25th, and we'll stop at Saturday August 2022 the 20th.
The Capspiration mods made 70 posts in those 27 days.

Is there a specific theme? Or is it just use any of the images from the specific dates and go wild?

Would you consider posting all the eligible caps in your challenge posts, like novindalf used to do? I'm finding myself willing to participate, and then get frustrated scrolling through capspiration. :/

(I guess you probably left it out because it's a stupid amount of effort for you. I could see if I can whip up a script to make it easy, if you want.)

Hi, yes it would be too much. Sorry, that's very nice of you to offer, but no thank you. I will not be doing that. I'll think about adding post links when there are less weeks to cover, but I won't re-upload or re-post the images. The archives with the dates and subject titles and the poster's names are formatted better than I could ever do in an entry post. Because of the new artist choice options modes, no one needs to collect them all together for all-caps of all time challenges.

I noticed the archive day subject titles are in kind of small text and are spaced out on the pages a little in the layout theme, sorry about that. I can't change the layout right away, if there's a better one, but I think all the archives are styled the same on DW. Maybe viewing in light style is better.

That makes sense. I just wouldn't usually choose caps by fandom (unless maybe the ones I requested?). I just liked the way novindalf did it, so I could look at all the images at once, and then I just went by which cap spoke to me.

That means that looking at the archives doesn't actually help me. So I also don't mind which layout they're in. But thank you for thinking of that!

Well, I did say this is a reboot & you know how those go. 😄 Oh no! I've ruined the franchise and so soon, too! 😉 There probably won't be as many weeks of posts to go through, once we catch up to 2023's posts.

I did change the capspiration font anyways, to a Google font that has thicker and less spaced out letters. It looks better for reading, on my screen at least.

Lololol, you haven't, the number of participants proves that. :D

I do want to participate, though, so I wrote the script for myself. It was a fun challenge which took me three hours. That's a lot more than the few minutes it would have taken me to click through the posts each month, but I enjoyed it anyway. That's computer scientists for you. ;)

I'd assumed that people were posting downsized links to the caps, but I saw that that wasn't always the case. I simply copied the entry contents from capspiration into one html file, and if they posted the full-size image right there, then that's what I get too.

I suspect it was the same for novindalf's posts, because she always warned about that, too, and I remember it took a bit to load all the images in her challenge posts, too. Of course, you'll have the same total size if you click through all the posts one after another, there's no difference there.

If you want, I can offer to post them all in a separate post to your challenge post. If people are interested they can click and if they aren't, they don't have to. I didn't implement the script in a shareable way now, but I could share the results. (I can't promise I'll always think of doing it, though?)

That's very nice of you, thank you for thinking of it, but that won't be necessary. I think it'll be okay for now. I'll just have to remember to double check on the images.
And when we catch up with some of the backlogged posts I may start putting the links to each post in, but not embedding the images.

Okay, I just checked the archive pages here, in this comm's layout (Five AM), it's easier to read faster for me. Do you think it would be a better style for viewing capspiration in?
